Privacy policy
Lastlang is a small 1:1 coaching service run by one person in Japan. This page explains, in plain English, what information I collect, why, where it’s kept, and what you can ask me to do with it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@lastlang.com.
What I collect
- Your application. When you fill in the application form: your name, email, time zone, and your answers about why you’re learning Japanese, your level, what gets in the way, and how much time you have.
- Messages and call notes. What you send me by email or chat, and short notes I keep from our calls so I can follow up properly.
- Your journal. If you’re a client, the journal entries you send me for your listening audio.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by a payment provider. I see that a payment was made, not your full card number. name the payment provider
I don’t ask for anything I don’t need, and the form never collects payment.
Your journal
Your journal is used only to make your audio. I don’t publish it, sell it, share it with other clients, or use it for anything else.
To make the audio, journal text is processed by AI and text-to-speech tools:

I keep journal text and the audio made from it for: how long journals and audio are kept, e.g. deleted 90 days after you stop
Where your application is stored
This website runs on Cloudflare. When you send the application form, your answers are stored in Cloudflare’s storage (Workers KV) under my account, so that I can read and reply to them. I may also get a short notification so I know a new application has arrived. name the notification service, if any (e.g. email or chat webhook)
I keep applications for: how long applications are kept, e.g. 12 months if we don’t work together
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn’t use cookies or tracking scripts. Cloudflare, which serves the site, processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. update this if you turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics or anything else
Who else sees your information
Only the services I need to run the coaching: the hosting provider (Cloudflare), the payment provider, the AI and text-to-speech tools named above (journal text only), and the email and chat tools we use to talk. I don’t sell your information, and I don’t share it for advertising.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@lastlang.com and I’ll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I’ll update this page and tell current clients directly.
